The outer shell of the Military Modular Sleep System, this extremely lightweight bivy cover (2lbx 6oz) is designed to fit around the sleeping bag(s), allowing you to sleep in any sleeping back and remain completely dry, and also retain heat better. It acts as an outer layer of insulation, and allows moisture to evaporate, but is designed to be completely waterproof, so even laying on damp ground, you stay dry thoughout the night.
